State of the Union:

Photography by Gregg Segal

June 21 – September 3

Opening Reception and Beyond the Frame –

June 21 • 7:00 p.m.

The Civil War holds a great fascination in popular history and is a period of intense interest for so many. A time when a country was at war with brothers and friends, this period defined us and continues to intrigue many still. Photographer Gregg Segal has twisted our fascination with the Civil War and created tableaux of modern and historic by juxtaposing passionate re-enactors with the encroaching suburbia. Funny and serious, this work is an exploration of what happens to our national historic sites and how we use that space as

a consumer society.
